Several people have asked and you have probably noticed. The fan forum section of our site is not available. It has been closed and we do not anticipate re-opening it again. We're sorry to disappoint those of you who contributed, but frankly, it just wasn't worth the hassle anymore.

I imagine that a few of you stopped by here around noon today and wondered what the heck! Apparently some hackers did some shenanigans on the web server for this site (and for many other sites) and defaced the main pages.

Our host provider is working on a repair and a fix but in the meanwhile I put up this temporary page. It was a version of the site with two columns that I had thought of using but decided against. It's not the prettiest thing so bear with us until the site gets repaired for good!

If you read this and look down and wonder - "what two columns??" then it means that the web host provider did their job and it's back to 'normal'

To all of the friends we've made over the years through racing, Cheryl and I wish you a very Merry Christmas.

It's amazing when we think of how our lives have been enriched by the people we have met at a racetrack. Friends who are new, friends whom we've know for a while, and friends who have become permanent parts of our lives. The Best Man and Maid of Honor at our wedding were people we met at a racetrack!

We're thankful and look forward to seeing you all again in 2010. Our Christmas wish is simple, another racing season!

Thanks to Microsoft once again, if you are using Internet Explorer 8, you've noticed that the navigation menu on the left doesn't look right. You can make it look like it should by clicking the "Tools" option at the top of IE8 and choosing "Compatibility View". We keep thinking maybe Microsoft will actually follow the technical standards, but they have their own plans on world domination in mind....

Here is our latest batch of photos from the recent race at Hickory Motor Speedway. They include a couple of small video clips (pace laps, pit stops, and the final 3 laps). Not the best quality, but it's something!

Also, we've been asked several times about the ability to buy the photos we post online. We hadn't turned this feature on before because we didn't want to ruin our reputation of providing Pro Cup coverage for "free". The new site where we house the photos is the best we've ever used and they offer the ability for you to buy photos so we are enabling that feature now.

They (smugmug.com) handle all of the purchase process. We do not see any of your personal information or your credit card data and we do not make a penny from any sale. The prices are determined by smugmug.com. I hope you find it useful.

The ability to buy photos is only active for the 2009 season photos at the moment.

Hi racefans. You've probably noticed already, but we're having some technical problems with the servers which keep our site safe and warm and running properly. It may or may not work for you and emails sent to me may or may not get here!

The 12 year olds in the tech support center are working their fastest, but the child labor laws apparently prevent them from spending too much time on the issues. It's out of our hands right now so we hope you'll bear with us!

The one and only time we made it to a Pro Cup race at Winchester was in June of 2003. It's a very cool track and a very fast and steep track! I remember getting a ride around the turns in a rental car and everybody shifting to the right side of the car because we were afraid of tipping over at the slow speed we were traveling!

We're excited to make the 10 hour journey again for this weekends race! Non-racefans naturally think we are a bit crazy, but as you all know - the addiction can't be explained to an outsider!

Hal Goodson started on the pole and triggered a gigantic wreck in turn 1 on lap 1 when he missed a shift of the start of the race. Carnage galore. The end of the race saw just Goodson and Scott Baker alone of the lead lap with the 3rd place car 2 laps down. I still remember it being a good race no matter what the stat sheets say!

Disclaimer - somehow all the thumbnails got messed up, but if you click them the actual photos looks better. Also, the camera we had back then was pretty pathetic so don't expect jaw-dropping shots, not to say that what we do now is much better...

We've placed a batch of photos from our Concord weekend online for your viewing. Not too many photos from during the actual race however. Between the camera limitations and my skill limitations, night photos never seem to come out for me....
